Alcatel one touch software. Smartphone Alcatel One Touch - reviews and review

Competition in the segment of low-cost smartphones has always been strong enough. With the advent of cheap quad-core chips from MediaTek, it has inflamed even more, because every second-tier manufacturer considers it its duty to release such a device that will appeal to most users. The Alcatel One Touch brand decided not to stand aside and not so long ago presented the Snap smartphone, which finally reached our country.

Design, construction and equipment

There are several versions of the device. In addition to the single-and dual-SIM, there is a modification with support for LTE networks, but it differs in hardware and a screen, and is in no hurry to come to our country, so we got a version with support for two microSIM cards. Two colors - white and black. The phone comes in a traditional box with its main features marked on it. Interestingly, Snap is partnering with Le Tour De France and has P2i splash protection. The device itself is hidden inside (we got it in black color), various instructions, good earbuds with a call answering button, a microUSB-USB cable and a block charger(1000 mAh).

On the front side of the smartphone, in addition to a 4.5 ”qHD-screen, made using TFT technology and far from the best in quality, but covered with Dragontrail glass, you can see light and proximity sensors, 1.3-megapixel front camera, LED, earpiece and three touch-sensitive control keys under the display with a very bright white backlight. There is nothing on the left side of the device, on the right you can see only a volume rocker. The upper end is equipped with a 3.5 mm headphone jack and a power button, and the lower end is equipped with a microUSB port and a microphone.

On the back there is an 8-megapixel camera with autofocus and flash, a second microphone, and a multimedia speaker. Slots for two micro-SIM and a card microSD memory hidden under the cover. The battery of the novelty is not removable.

The smartphone is very comfortable in the hand, but the glossy, soiled body and the poor-quality TFT screen spoil the impression somewhat, as a result of which Snap feels very budgetary, especially against the background of the Alcatel One Touch Idol smartphone (review), which sells for the same 9,990 rubles. Simple looks but interesting insides. Perhaps this is how this device can be characterized.

Software

Unlike Alcatel One Touch Star (review) and Idol, Snap runs Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean with all its inherent features. The interface itself, however, is somewhat simpler, it is a little more “naked”, and the pre-installed software does not differ from the other two models, so I will not dwell on this, but will only tell you about a couple of differences.

The BesAudEnh audio headphone amplifier has been added to the Sound Profiles, making the sound more spacious, but much dirtier. In the battery settings, only the percentage status remained (the ability to save processor power was lost), in Gestures, the ability to lock the screen with the palm of your hand disappeared. The SwiftKey 3 keyboard is still pre-installed and selectable as your primary typing method, which is nice.

The rest of the software is identical, with the exception of the SIM-card switching manager in Snap. Its functionality is standard for Android, like all other programs.

Camera

An 8-megapixel module with autofocus, flash and support for recording Full HD-video produces a very decent quality for its class, both photo and video. I would like to note the quick focusing when recording videos, not the worst electronic stabilizer, high-quality sound recording. Photos come out without a lot of noise, even in low light conditions. Perhaps this is one of the best 8MP cameras among inexpensive smartphones. Examples:

Performance and benchmarks

The smartphone is built on the basis of a 4-core MT6589 processor with a frequency of 1.2 GHz, has 1 GB random access memory and a PowerVR SGX544 graphics chip. This hardware is more than enough for comfortable operation of the device, but, alas, only in theory, since Snap sometimes jams for some unknown reason.

Here you will find out the prices, specifications for all Alcatel smartphones and see their photos. Basically they are called Alcatel One Touch (Alcatel Van Tach) - and then the name of a particular model and its number are written. Each Alcatel smartphone has a price in at least three companies selling it and the opportunity to buy.

Alcatel 5

Alcatel smartphones (Alcatel) are quite popular devices in our country. In general, the ALCATEL brand is originally from France. But a few years ago it was bought by the Chinese company TCL. And now Alcatel smartphones are devices 100% made in China. In the beginning, they conquered our market with low prices. But now the prices for smartphones of this brand are at about the same level with other less well-known brands from China.
These budget, inexpensive devices are mostly pretty designs.
Naturally, there are already many models with two SIM cards on sale.
