The Prestige RD-200 GPS Radar Detector warns the driver when approaching the location of most police radars used to determine vehicle speed, including Strelka and laser radars. 5. Be sure to consult with competent sellers. Look at reviews and videos on the Internet, but you should not rely on them too much.

6. It is optimal to take devices for 3000-5000 rubles.

7. Do not rely entirely on the device. Even the best models have false positives (although there are not many of them at all) and do not always have time to react. Also now there are some stationary cameras that the devices do not catch at all, however, there are not many of them at all.

8. I do not advise taking radar detectors on solar batteries or with built-in batteries. They are usually more expensive, and work worse than conventional radar detectors.

I don't recommend taking these. They are more expensive, require installation, and most importantly, it makes no sense to constantly use a radar detector.

13. Unfortunately, in recent times, you should not rely too much on the advice of sellers. Many of them advise those radar detectors from which they earn more, or which they have in stock.

15. Now about Strelka. This is a new device (appeared in 2011) for measuring speed and consists of two square boxes located on top of the roadway, one of which flickers red at night. 17. Now, in addition to the Strelka, the Avtodoriya stationary complex has appeared, which works according to the optical principle and does not emit anything. No devices can catch it, but there are detectors with a built-in GPS sensor and a database where the coordinates of both Strelok and Avtodorii are stored, and from them the device "knows" where these complexes are located and signals them in advance. In addition, such devices have one useful function - at a low speed (which is usually programmed) do not give signals at all, why signal if the car speed is 30 km / h, thereby sharply reducing false positives.
