Gs b520 after the update does not work. Troubleshooting

TricolorTV is a company providing access services to digital channels and UltraHD level channels, provides all the necessary equipment according to the contract (rent). The setup is usually done by the company's technicians themselves, however, due to the complexity of the entire connection process, you may find errors while browsing. Error 4 is one of the most common, but not all subscribers understand what they mean. After all, if a “mistake” means that you made a mistake in something, broke something or did something wrong. Let's look into this in more detail.

This number hides a ban on broadcasting a channel in a certain encoding. The fourth error shows us that the channel we are trying to access is not supported by TricolorTV.

Since the competition in the market for the provision of digital services is very fierce, telecom operators have come up with the idea of encoding their channels, transmitting their signals with a certain signature.

This is to ensure that you cannot “accidentally” pick up a channel that is under the control of another operator without paying that operator for access or switching to their services. Sometimes, however, failures occur - after all, the equipment is almost the same for everyone.

Causes of the problem

  • Error number 4 occurs when the receiver, configured to receive and broadcast channels in Tricolor-TV encoding, fails and starts to catch “non-own” channels. A similar failure occurs in outdated equipment, which sometimes simply “does not understand” who is friend and who is enemy, and begins to catch channels of any encoding all at once. At the same time, “their” channels also fly off.

However, most often there is nothing to do with equipment failure, but the whole point is that you - subscribers - are tired of watching the same thing. And one fine evening you decided to look for something new.

By clicking on the “search for new channels” button, you should be aware that this can lead to error 4, when you actually instructed the receiver to receive channels that it simply cannot broadcast due to the difference in encodings.

As a result of this, the receiver stumbled upon a channel that is broadcast by another provider, and, of course, it is impossible for you to watch it - after all, you have chosen Tricolor-TV, and not another operator.

  • Also, this error may occur in cases where you performed an update and did not complete it. Then a 4 would mean you need to complete the update before you can search or continue watching TV.

What to do and how to fix it yourself

Naturally, if this is your fault, then you will not want to contact technical support, even if it is very friendly and welcoming. Most compatriots prefer to deal with such problems on their own, and they are right - such simple errors in television broadcasting can be corrected "on the spot", without resorting to particularly complicated instructions.

  • Tricolor-TV itself advises resetting the receiver to factory settings. However, before taking such a radical step, you can try starting a new channel search. To do this, you need to search for Tricolor-TV channels (namely your provider, and not all in a row). To do this, go to the menu of your receiver using the remote control and select the desired option from the list.
  • Sometimes it also helps to simply turn off and then turn on the receiver. In this case, it is necessary to wait at least 10 seconds, during which the equipment will be in the off state.

And only if this does not help, you can "zero" the receiver:

  • Go to the main menu;
  • Select "Settings";
  • Enter code 0000;
  • Select the factory settings item;
  • Press the red button.

The receiver will then start its restart. After restarting, it is also recommended to briefly turn off the receiver, and then turn it back on.

All! Now you can again "search for channels" controlled by TricolorTV.

Important! If this method doesn't work, check your location settings. Perhaps, during the first search, your broadcasting region got lost, and this is what prevents the receiver from catching channels of the desired encoding.

In case the error occurred as a result of an unfinished update, you need to:

  • Go to channel 333
  • Wait until the update of everything that has not been completed is completed.

Appeal to the operator's specialists

If you did everything according to the instructions, and the TV still does not show channels, you need to contact technical support. Some errors may be caused by local problems on the operator's side.

Operators should redirect you to specialists who will either advise you on the algorithm of actions by phone, or come to you and set up the receiver correctly.

Contacts of Tricolor-TV support services can be specified in your contract for the provision of services, or on the official website. Usually the numbers hotline available for dialing from 9 am to 10 pm Moscow time. You can also send an email to the technical support e-mail address listed on the site.

Important! When choosing the last option of contact, remember that they will not answer you as quickly as by phone.

Troubleshooting video tutorial

At the beginning of June 2017 and beyond, a large number of Tricolor TV subscribers encountered a problem. which received the name "Error 4 on Tricolor". The symptomatology is such that when trying to view encrypted paid channels, the subscriber receives a message instead of a picture - "No access to view. The TV and radio channel is not broadcast by the operator (error 4)". And then he doesn't know what to do. All encrypted channels are not shown.

The problem did not affect all tricolor subscribers, but most of them. This happened because it affected the tricolor receivers of the GS E521L, GS B520, GS B522, GS B521, GS B531M, GS B532M, GS B533M, GS C592 models - and these are just one of the most common models.

Error 4 on Tricolor and how to fix it - No access to view. The TV and radio channel is not broadcast by the operator (error 4)

When you make an attempt to figure out what the matter is, the first thought is to check whether the receiver sees its ID (sewn in or on an access card). And here it turns out that the receiver does not see the ID, and without the ID it is impossible to decode the channels and, therefore, you need to look for a solution in the field of restoring the ID. Which is what we do.

In the photo we see that the receiver does not see the access card to such an extent that it gives out - No smart card. And on the 3rd line we see the current version of the software - 3.4.299

First of all, for such a restoration, you should go to channel 333 - this is a special service channel from which the receiver software is updated.

Those. you need to go to channel 333 "Telemaster" and check if there is a new software for the receiver. The receiver itself will check for its presence, and if there is one, it will offer to install new software - no additional actions are required from the user, you only need to confirm the installation.

The screenshot is just the same made on 333 TV channel. The receiver offers to update the software to version 3.7.304 - after clicking on “OK”, the download process will begin, and then the installation new firmware receiver.

After the receiver receives consent to install a new firmware version, it first downloads it from the satellite (up to 50% of the progress bar), and then installs it into the receiver's memory (after 50% of the progress bar)

The new firmware of the tricolor receiver is being downloaded from the satellite. Upon reaching 50% completion, the installation of the firmware into the receiver's memory will begin directly.

After a new firmware version is written to the receiver (receiver), it automatically reboots itself and after a reboot it starts to open and show your favorite TV channels normally. This happens for the reason that new version The software receiver correctly sees the card and its ID, which means it can normally decode the channels.

After updating the receiver software through channel 333, the receiver normally sees its ID again and correctly decodes the channels. The card number in the photo has been changed to non-existent in nature. In the third line, we see that the information about the receiver software version has changed.

Thus, to resolve the error "No access to view. The TV-radio channel is not broadcast by the operator (error 4)”, it is enough to update the receiver firmware from 333 technical channel.

An important point - for some models of receivers, it is also necessary to update the module software (the module software version is displayed in the 4th line on the images shown). It is performed after updating the main firmware and also from 333 TV channels. The module software update is faster than the main update. It is easy to understand whether it is necessary to update the module software specifically on your receiver - if the error has not gone away, we update it, if it goes away, we do not update it.

WARNING - flashing the receiver software is a responsible event. If the power supply is turned off while the new firmware is being written to the receiver's memory, the receiver will lose its functionality. The owner of the receiver carries out the firmware update at his own peril and risk.

Here is such a brief instruction for error 4 - we wish you good luck in eliminating it and enjoy using the Tricolor TV system.

P.S. — The described problem is almost completely not the last, there will be others. But there is no need to be upset about this, because there is a 55 channel with a total technical information, there is technical support tricolor at 8-800-500-0123, so the next problem that has arisen will most likely be resolved.

Sometimes Tricolor TV users experience error 4
– No access to view. The TV and radio channel is not broadcast by the operator (error 4).

Cause: Fault number 4 means that the receiver cannot start the channel. That is, this TV program is not included in the Tricolor TV service package. Most likely, by accident or due to a software glitch, you have selected the wrong channel.

Common Satellite TV Mistakes

Modern receivers are technologically sophisticated electronic devices. It is rather difficult for a simple layman to understand what exactly the error codes that are displayed on the TV screen mean. The total number of codes reaches no more than 15.

Faults may occur for the following reasons:

  • Your hardware software has crashed;
  • The receiver may not recognize or read the smart card;
  • Resetting the keys to decode the signal;
  • The channel is not included in the services of your provider;
  • You are not logged in;
  • Debt on a personal account;
  • Difficulties with identification of the region of translation.

Corrective Actions for Error 4

The very fact that satellite TV operators experience failures when viewing (for example, the most frequent ones are the fourth, fifth or seventh) is completely ordinary. How to fix them is also not a difficult process. The main thing is to understand what exactly the program represented by the user is trying to convey to us, and what to do in response. If your Tricolor TV has error 4 and you don't know how to fix it, then read on carefully.

Most of these problems do not require the involvement of a qualified specialist; they are easily and independently eliminated at home. To do this, you must follow a certain algorithm, depending on the specific failure. Since we are talking about the error under code number 4, then there is one way to solve it: switch to a channel controlled by Tricolor TV. If this manipulation did not help, the following steps should be taken:

  • Turn off and turn on the device.
  • Switch to a channel included in the operator's teleservices package.

To do this, go to the "menu" and select the search for Tricolor TV channels;
If the previous advice did not help, then you need to reset the receiver to factory settings (refer to the instructions for your equipment: section reset to factory settings). Then do a re-installation of TV channels in order to set up the TV programs that are included in the service package.
Then go to channel 333 and update the receiver firmware again.

Any satellite TV operator may experience problems with opening channels. No need to panic and call technical support or call a specialist at home. It is possible that you can fix the problem yourself. You only need to carefully follow the instructions or our recommendations. Therefore, we repeat our advice: if the screen of your receiver shows error number 4, then this may mean that the TV channel is not included in the Tricolor TV package. To resume work, just shift the gear. If it doesn't work the first time, please reboot your receiver first.

On October 16, 2019, a new software (software) was released for receivers of models GS B520, GS B521, GS B521H, GS B521HL, GS E521L, GS B522, GS B531M, GS B531N, GS B532M, GS B533M, GS B534M, GS B5310, GS B5311GS, GS C592, aimed at improving and improving the performance of this equipment.

ATTENTION! The software update takes place in two stages. In no case do not turn off the power of the receiver before the end of the update procedure! Otherwise, the receiver may be damaged!

If you are using a server-client system, then you first need to update the C592 receiver-client software, and then proceed to update the server-receiver software.

To update the software, do the following:

1. Unplug the receiver's power cord from the outlet, and then plug the receiver back into the mains.

2. Switch the receiver to the TV channel under the number 333 in the general list.

3. After a few seconds, a message will appear on the screen asking you to update the software as follows:

After this message appears, select "OK" to start the update.

4. Update progress.

After agreeing to the update, service messages about the update process will appear on the screen. Updating the receiver software takes about ten minutes, updating the module software takes about five minutes.

Attention!Updating the software of the receiver-client GS C592 May take up to twenty five minutes.

5. When the update is completed, the receiver will reboot and turn on with the new software version.

ATTENTION! For the GS C592 model receiver, this will complete the upgrade as it does not require a module upgrade.

6. For other models: after turning on the receiver, re-switch it to TV channel 333 in the general list. Within one minute, a message will appear on the screen stating that the module software needs to be updated.

7. If a message about the need to update the module software appears, follow steps 3-5 of this manual.

After the software update is completed, check that the update was successful. To do this, go to the application " Personal Area” (“Menu” -> “Personal account”) and check the values in the lines “Receiver software version” and “Module software version”. The update was successful if the following information is displayed:

Third line: Receiver software version - 4.6.310.

Fourth line: Module software version - 0.0.185.

The figure below shows the view of the "Personal Account" application on the example of the GS B521 receiver H after update:

Video instruction:

Recently, Tricolor-TV subscribers have received error 4 with the text “No access to view. The TV and radio channel is not broadcast by the operator.” As a rule, this happens after a software update on the receiver. For the first time such a problem appeared in the summer of 2017 after a large-scale update of all receivers from the GS B520 to the GS532M. Then it was unrealistic to get through to technical support! Remarkably, at the same time, error 4 on Tricolor appeared only for those who first updated the module. As it turned out later, if the receiver's firmware was first updated, then everything went like clockwork and no errors occurred.

Instructions on how to fix error 4

In fact, the solution to the problem is quite simple and for this you do not need to carry the receiver in service center or look for some master. So, what should be done to remove error 4 on Tricolor TV ?!

Method 1.

This is the easiest way to remove error 4 on Tricolor, but it works if the channels do not show due to a problem with software. Everything is done as follows:

Use the remote control to navigate to a channel Telemaster Under the number 333 . A window should appear asking you to update the device software.

We agree and wait for the process to pass. It takes about 20-25 minutes of time, after which the receiver will automatically restart. This operation corrects error 4 in most cases.

Comment: If the device is not flashed through the 333rd channel, you can try to do update via USB port. To do this, you need a flash drive with a capacity of no more than 4 GB.
You can download the firmware for your receiver on the official website of the manufacturer - link.

Formatting the flash drive file system FAT32 and copy the file with the software to the root folder of the disk. It must be unpacked from the archive.
We connect removable drive into the USB port and reboot the device. Next, the receiver itself must find the firmware file and offer to install the update.
We agree. As soon as the procedure is completed, the device will restart. With the new software, error 4 on Tricolor TV should disappear.

Method 2.

Step 1. We pick up the remote control from the receiver and press the "Menu" button to open the general menu of the device on the screen.

Step 2 We go to the "Settings" section:

Step 3 Doing reset to factory settings. The menu may differ from the one shown in the picture, but the meaning of this changes!

Step 4 Turn off the Tricolor TV receiver and pull out the plug from the socket for 15 minutes.

Step 5 Turn on the receiver again and start searching for channels.
