An interesting feature of the new tablets will be the ability to recognize faces in both portrait and landscape orientations. To unlock, you won’t need to turn the tablet over every time; the main thing is not to hold it upside down.

What’s noteworthy is that the Face ID setup process will be quite standard, just like on the iPhone. There will be no need to turn the tablet over, allowing the camera to store more data.

External display support

New iPads should receive USB port Type-C, which will allow you to display images from the tablet to external displays in 4K HDR format. To control this function, a new panel will be available in the settings, allowing you to control resolution, brightness, dynamic range and other picture parameters.

A new Apple Pencil is also reported. It will automatically connect to your iPad, similar to how you connect to an iPhone. To pair, you no longer need to connect the accessory to the tablet via the charging port.

Magnetic connector

The 11-inch iPad Pro has a different resolution (a headache for app developers) than the 10.5 iPad Pro, but the pixel density is the same.

Since the iPad Pro no longer has a Home button, users will have to get used to the new gestures that iPhone X, Xs, and Xr owners are already accustomed to.

Major design changes of the new iPad Pro 2018 (iPad X)

Apple is expected to bring some design changes to the iPhone X in 2018.

Bloomberg's sources suggest that at least one of the new iPad models will feature an all-screen display and move from Touch ID to Face ID.

It goes without saying that the new chip will have more RAM and more GPU cores. It would be strange if this were not the case.
