Export from the country of departure how long to wait. Importance of exporting international mail

Many people who are faced with the purchase of goods in foreign online malls are interested in the course of such a process as the export of international mail, which means receiving, in fact, a certain postal item, which is transferred to the mail of the country of destination (in the cases considered here, Russia). The parcel is delivered to the specified place where the international postal exchange and all subsequent export and import operations take place. The entire path of the postal item is the export of international mail, which means the phased passage of all instances in compliance with many rules, which will be discussed below.

Stages

From receiving a parcel abroad to receiving it in Russia by a person whose address, name and surname are indicated in the notice, there are many stages, about each of which information is sent to the recipient and sender upon request. The long way of the parcel and all manipulations with it must be transparent, this is exactly what the export of international mail means, which means free tracking of the shipment until it is received at the Russian post office.

The first step in sending a shipment to the Russian Federation from abroad is the acceptance of a parcel at a post office, for example, in China or Malaysia. In the foreign post office, the parcel is accepted and the relevant documentation is drawn up for it to go all the way to the final address. At the same time, a declaration for customs in the form CN23 or CN22 must be drawn up.

Documentation

After drawing up the documents, a unique identifier is given to this mail item, with the help of which this export of international mail is tracked. What does identifier mean? This is the barcode printed on the receipt. The sender receives it so that after a while, when the parcel appears in the tracking system, to monitor its movement. If desired and possible, the sender can communicate the index to the recipient.

First, the parcel arrives at the place where it happens, where it is carefully prepared to go through certain procedures, and this is only the very beginning of knowing what it means to export international mail. China, for example, trades very heavily with Russian consumers online, as it has an extensive network of shopping malls. These are Item.taobao, Detail.tmall, Auction1.paipai, and many others, including the world-famous Amazon and Aliexpress. And just from there, the parcels need to be carefully monitored. There are also customs authorities in the local MMPO, which draw up the parcel for their part and form a dispatch to the country of departure.

Parcel export

If a prospective recipient sees an "export" status while tracking, they need to be patient. This is one of the most time-consuming processes when a postal item is sent from one country to another - from the sender to the recipient. Air transportation may be involved here, but most often delivery is carried out by ground methods.

The speed will depend on the distance of countries from each other purely geographically. And at this stage, when tracking the parcel, the status "export of international mail" will already be known, which means that the parcel goes through the longest stage of the postal journey. The "export" status indicates that the shipment has been handed over to the carrier, and the parcel goes to the MMPO of the recipient country, that is, to Russia, but it follows very gradually.

Timing

No one can ever know about the delivery time for the export of any international shipments. This is entirely dependent on the carrier. The following status indicates the electronic registration of the parcel - in these or slightly different words, and this means that the seller registered the track code of the postal item on the website of the courier service.

However, the package has not yet been transferred, and a whole week may still pass before the actual transfer. She probably hasn't even left China yet. Export of international mail should change the status to "receiving" or similar to the given word. But this will only mean that the parcel was actually sent from China to Russia. When it is in the "export" status, it is impossible to trace the path. That's when the status changes to "import", you can watch the movements.

Causes

Since transportation is most often carried out in transit and undergoing all sorts of restrictions, postal items are quite often delayed for a long time. If the parcel does not receive the status of "import" for more than three months, the sender must submit a search request to the post office. The actual shipment to the country of destination does not mean at all that the shipment will soon complete its journey, that is, the export of international mail itself does not indicate this. No one knows how long the departure route lasts at this stage.

This happens because the routes are laid differently every time, a lot depends on the flights, as well as on the formation of the optimal weight. That is, parcels are accumulated to the required amount so that the flight is profitable. For example, Chinese planes carry from fifty to one hundred tons. And no one knows when this flight will gain the desired weight. This stage can take from seven to fourteen days on average. But often more, there are cases when parcels were expected for all sixty days.

Package

With the status "export (content check)", you can be sure that the package is not moving anywhere yet. She was handed over to the customs of the country of departure to carry out inspection and other procedures. As soon as the customs check is completed, the parcel will move towards the country of destination. The status "export (packing)" will mean that the parcel has been successfully examined, it is packed, labeled and ready to be sent to Russia.

With the "transportation" status, everything seems to be clear: the postal item is moving from the sorting center. Most likely - to another sorting center, but already in the direction of the recipient. The same means the status "in transit". Sometimes, as the shipment is being tracked, a notification will appear that customs has completed clearance, which will mean that the postal services are now continuing to export international mail. Malaysia (MYKULB - international code), for example, allows you to track your parcels using your own help center, but this does not add speed to parcels.

Customs there

Customs in most IMPOs works around the clock, because this is the only way to check this colossal volume of incoming and outgoing mail from abroad. In addition to customs officers, postal operators also work there - two people per customs officer.

This is what awaits a parcel with the status "customs clearance". The parcel is still in the sending state and is undergoing customs procedures. This is not too fast. If the status says "customs clearance in the country of the recipient" - you can start to rejoice and rub your hands in anticipation.

Customs here

The parcel was transferred to and processed there, simultaneously going through a rather long cycle of functions: processing, customs control, clearance. All postal containers receive customs transit procedures, then they are sorted by sections and types of shipments.

Commodity investments must undergo x-ray control, while the customs decides whether to open this item or not. The reason to take the parcel under personal control may be a commercial party or an orientation to it, where the presence of substances prohibited for shipment is suspected, or it may simply be a violation of property rights. The operator at the customs officer opens the parcels, after which they draw up an inspection report and attach it to the shipment.

Other statuses

The status "export of international mail, sorting" means that the parcel is already in one of the many sorting centers, and it is being processed there. In any case, it is already quite close to receiving. It is not known how long it will take to process, but sooner or later the parcel will leave this sorting center. The status "accepted by the carrier" moves the moment of receipt even closer - the order has been transferred to the carrier already local.

Further, different statuses may appear in turn, which speak for themselves: "arrived at the terminal" (probably intermediate, where the parcel will be unloaded again, loaded, processed, labeled and sent further), "arrived at the warehouse" (where it will be unloaded again, loaded and and so on - see above), "located in the small packet processing center" (again, everything is the same as before, but at the end a further route is selected here). One of these intermediate statuses, which makes one feel sad, is "arrival in a transit country". This is a very troublesome business - to track the export of international mail. China (CNSZXA - international code), for example, very often apologizes to customers for long delays.

Postal office

The long-awaited status "arrival at the post office" means that the recipient can already, without even waiting for the postman with a notification, go directly to the post office indicated in the status and receive their package. Other phrases in this message may also be used. For example: "Export of international mail of Russia. Arrival at the place of delivery." Ideally, the delivery of the notice by the postman should be made on the same day, but more often it happens differently.

By the way, if the status "the place of international exchange has been abandoned" is received from the Russian post, then you do not need to wait more than ten days, since this is already a clear violation of the delivery time. Feel free to call and complain. Postal workers are required to respond to such a call. The parcel is searched for, immediately a notice of its arrival at the department is issued. And give notice to the postman. Well, if all the worries are over. Because there are also unsuccessful delivery attempts, if the postal operator has to report this in the next status. Moreover, the specific reason for non-delivery is never displayed.

Further actions

After another attempt at delivery, the parcel is transferred to storage until all the circumstances are clarified. She receives the marking "on demand". After a certain time, the failed recipient sees the status of the return of the parcel to the sender. And if he does not immediately contact the post office, which was obliged to deliver the item, and does not find out the reasons for non-delivery, then the recipient can already say goodbye to the dream that arrived from Malaysia or China.

Yes, and he is not the recipient then. Unfortunately, this happens very often, as people who use foreign online malls constantly write about in reviews and are advised on forums. So buyers warn each other about poor quality service. For example, Chinese warehouses of online stores receive a lot of criticism.

Deliveries are now in high demand. After all, people are increasingly using online services, in particular, ordering various kinds of goods on Internet sites, among which Aliexpress has become the most popular. At the same time, many people prefer to carry out tracking on their own throughout the entire stage of cargo transportation.

And this is very correct, because thanks to this option you will be able to find out in time what delays occur, what procedures and points, verification stages are being carried out or will only be carried out.

In general, thanks to tracking, you can get detailed information about the delivery. However, to do this, you need to know what the tracking statuses mean. Only their correct understanding will allow you to benefit from tracking.

With international deliveries, you can often meet with the status "Export from the country of departure." Many customers of courier services are interested in what this phrase means. We will consider its meaning in the framework of this article. However, first you need to understand what the export of international mail itself means.

Export is

The word "export" itself comes from the Latin exporto. The same word, in turn, has the meaning of "export of goods and services from the country's port", if we talk about its literal meaning. Buyers of these same services and goods will call the country an importer. That is, when tracking a package, it is important to correctly understand the statuses:

  • Export - this means that something has gone beyond the borders of the country.
  • Import - this means that something, on the contrary, arrived in the country.

As you can see, there is nothing complicated here.

The meaning of the status Exported from the country of departure

This status is second in order. It is exhibited at the stage of delivery, when the goods are exported outside the country of origin. You can also understand the message in this way: there is still time before the goods are received.

To make it easier, consider an example: Ivan bought headphones from Aliexpress and ordered delivery. The product is in China, and it needs to be delivered to Russia. When Ivan sees “Export from the country of origin” when tracking, this means that the headphones were taken out of China.

I do not see much point in knowing a detailed description of a particular mail status. The meaning of most of them is clear from the name, the meaning of others is not so important (again, for me).

However, many users want to figure out what the package statuses they see when tracking mean. So I will give a description of the most frequent and popular statuses that you can find on various trackers.

Delivery to the addressee / Delivery to the recipient

The parcel was received by the addressee (at the post office or delivered by courier)

Flew to destination country

The parcel will be handed over to the post office of the country of destination. Then it will be delivered to one of the places of international mail exchange for subsequent import / export operations.

Departed from the airport

The parcel took off from the airport of the sender's country and is sent to the country of destination. The status will not change immediately upon arrival at the airport of the destination country, but after the parcel has been processed by the postal service. This may take from 3 to 10 days.

The parcel took off from the airport of the sender's country and is sent to the country of destination.

After the parcel leaves the territory of the sender's country and arrives in the country of destination, it will be assigned a new track code, which is not registered anywhere. Accordingly, the parcel will not be tracked.

Issued by customs

The customs clearance procedure has been completed, in the near future the parcel will be transferred to the post office of the country of destination for further delivery.

Ready for shipment

Ready to ship

It means that the parcel is packed, marked and will be sent in the near future.

Detained by customs

This operation means that the parcel is detained by customs officers to carry out activities to determine the destination of the parcel.

Upon receipt of goods by international mail within a calendar month, the customs value of which exceeds 1000 euros, and (or) the total weight of which exceeds 31 kilograms, in terms of such excess, it is necessary to pay customs duties, taxes using a single rate of 30% of the customs value of goods , but not less than 4 euros per 1 kilogram of their weight. If information about the goods sent to the IGO is missing or does not correspond to the actual, this significantly increases the time spent on clearance of shipments, since it becomes necessary to conduct customs inspection and document its results.

Sending

The parcel was sent to the wrong index or address, they found an error and redirected it to the correct address.

International mail import

The operation of receiving a shipment in the country of the recipient.

All mail arriving on the territory of the Russian Federation from flights begins its journey at the aviation mail transportation department (AOPP) - a special postal warehouse at the airport. From the aircraft, within 4-6 hours, the shipments arrive at the AOPP, the containers are registered, their integrity and weight are checked. Mail is registered in an electronic database. During registration, a barcode is scanned, data is entered about where the container is addressed (for example, MMPO Moscow), from which flight it arrived, about the country and date of formation of the container, etc. The time of these operations can be increased from 1 to 7x days due to the limited capacity of AOPP.

The next operation after exporting from the country of origin, which is reflected on the site when tracking the shipment, is import to the country of destination. Import information appears after the shipment has been handed over by the carrier to the postal operator of the country of destination. The operation "Import" means that the shipment arrived on the territory of Russia and was registered. International shipments arrive in Russia through the place of international postal exchange (IMPO). There are several MMPOs in Russia: in Moscow, Novosibirsk, Orenburg, Samara, Petrozavodsk, St. Petersburg, Kaliningrad, Bryansk. The choice of the city where the international shipment will go depends on the country of the sender. The choice depends on the availability of regular flights and free carrying capacity in a particular direction.

Unsuccessful attempt of delivery

Assigned if the operator reported that there was an attempt to deliver the parcel to the addressee, but for some reason it failed.

Options for further action:

  • New Delivery Attempt
  • The parcel will be deposited until demand or until the circumstances are clarified.

Then they are sorted by type and transferred to different sites. Shipments with a commodity investment undergo X-ray control. By decision of the customs officer, the parcel can be opened for personal control, the reason for personal control may be a violation of property rights, a commercial batch, orientation to the batch, where substances prohibited for shipment may be possible. The parcel is opened by the operator in the presence of a customs officer, after which a customs inspection report is drawn up and attached to the shipment.

Receive from sender

Means that a foreign sender (seller) brought your package to the local post office. At the same time, he filled out all the necessary documents, including the customs declaration (forms CN 22 or CN 23). At this time, the shipment is assigned a unique postal identifier - a special bar code (Track number, Track code). It is in the check (or receipt) issued upon receipt of the parcel. The "Receive" operation shows the place, date and country of receipt of the shipment. After acceptance, the parcel moves on its way to the place of international exchange.

International mail export

Means the actual sending of the parcel to the country of destination.

The "Export" status includes the transfer of the parcel to a foreign carrier, which, by land or air transportation, transports it to the MMPO of the country of destination. As a rule, this status is the longest and the transition to "Import" may take some time. This is due to the peculiarities of the routes of flights and the formation of the optimal weight for transporting it by plane. For example, shipments from China may be delayed due to the fact that cargo planes can carry at least 50 - 100 tons. On average, the export operation takes from 7 to 14 days, but sometimes this operation can take up to 60 days.

If the shipment is in the "Export" status, then it is impossible to track it (find out what exactly is happening with it), only at the import stage you will be able to see your parcel and monitor its further movement. The use of transit traffic and certain restrictions often delay departures. However, if your parcel was sent more than 3 months ago, but has not received the status of "Import", then the sender needs to contact the post office and apply for a search.

Export, processing

Means the actual sending of the parcel to the country of destination.

As a rule, it can take from 1 to 7 days from the moment of registration to the moment of the actual transfer of the parcel. After sending the parcel, the status will change to "Receiving" or similar.

What do the statuses of mailings mean in English?

What is on Aliexpress, what is on popular trackers, all the statuses of mail items are translated into Russian. So you will not often encounter statuses in English. And yet I decided to add here the translation and decoding of the most popular of them.

Parcel added to the site
This means that the parcel does not yet have any status either from the mail of the sending country or from the mail of the recipient country.

Information about the parcel was received electronically
The seller assigned a track number to the parcel and registered it on the mail website. But the parcel has not been delivered to the post office yet.
It can take from 2 to 14 days before it starts to be tracked.

Received by mail
The parcel arrived at the post office, i.e. the seller brought it to the post office, where it was registered and sent to the recipient.

Handed over to customs
The postal item was transferred to the customs service of the sending state for inspection and other customs procedures. If the parcel passes the customs check successfully, then it will be sent to the country of destination.

Customs clearance completed, released by customs
If the parcel passed the customs check successfully, then it will be sent to the country of destination.

Left the mail (Export)
The "Export" operation means that the shipment has been handed over to the carrier. The delivery time from export to import is usually the longest and it can take quite a long time before the postal item reaches the territory of the recipient country.
Reasons: transit routes of flights, gaining a certain weight for shipment by cargo planes. For example, China and Singapore transport mail by cargo planes that can carry between 50 and 100 tons. While the shipment is in export, neither the country of origin nor the country of the recipient can track the shipment on the Internet.
Delivery times for international shipments between export and import are not established (not regulated by documents). The delivery route is determined by the country of origin of the shipment, depending on the existing agreements with air carriers and the availability of carrying capacity. During delivery, transit flights are used, which leads to an increase in the terms of transportation and the time between export and import operations.

Import
The parcel is registered in the country of destination. A period of 30 days between export and import is normal.

Handed over to customs
Status means that the shipment has been handed over to the Federal Customs Service (FCS) for clearance. In MMPO, shipments go through a full cycle of processing, customs control and clearance functions. Postal containers arrive under the customs transit procedure. Then they are sorted by type and transferred to different sites. Shipments with a commodity investment undergo X-ray control. By decision of the customs officer, the postal item can be opened for personal control, the reason for personal control may be a violation of property rights, a commercial batch, orientation to the batch, where substances prohibited for shipment may possibly be. The postal item is opened by the operator in the presence of a customs officer, after which a customs inspection report is drawn up and attached to the item.

Detained by customs
This operation means that the postal item is detained by the FCS employees to carry out activities to determine the destination of the postal item.

Customs clearance completed
This operation means that the customs checked the shipment and returned it to the Russian Post. In many IMPOs, customs works around the clock: this is the only way to check the enormous volume of incoming mail from abroad in due time. Each customs officer is assisted by two postal operators.

Left MMPO (place of international postal exchange)
The shipment left the place of international mail exchange and then goes to the sorting center. From the moment the shipment left the MMPO, the delivery times for shipments in Russia begin to operate, they depend on the type of shipment http://www.russianpost.ru/rp/servise/ru/home/postuslug/termsdelivery

Arrived at Sort Facility/Left Sort Facility
After leaving the MMPO, the items through the large postal sorting centers follow the territory of the recipient country to their destination. In the sorting center, mail is distributed along the main routes of the country. Parcels are sealed again in containers and sent to the place of delivery, to the recipient waiting for it.

Arrived at the place of delivery
The shipment arrived at the recipient's post office (OPS). As soon as the shipment has arrived at the office, employees issue a notice (notice) that the shipment is in the office. The notice is given to the postman for delivery. Delivery is carried out on the day the item arrives at the office or the next day (for example, if the items arrived at the office in the evening).

Russians have recently been ordering goods from other countries more and more often, especially on popular sites such as Aliexpress, Buyincoins and Ebay. It also happens that someone has relatives or acquaintances abroad, and they send gifts or just parcels to you in Russia. Delivery of goods across the territory of our country is carried out by the Russian Post or other postal companies, and the goods are transported through the territory of the sender by local carriers. When approaching the recipient, the status of the shipment changes, which is displayed in the online parcel tracking service. In the article we will tell you what the status "export from the country of departure" and all the others mean, as well as what to do if the package is lost or "stuck" somewhere.

Through which services can you track postal items

The most common and popular service was created by the Russian Post, it is called "Russian Post. Tracking mail." There you need to enter the parcel identification number and confirm that you are not a robot. The system will show where the package is currently located. But, unfortunately, recently on the same "Aliexpress" the numbers of departures began to be issued in such a way that it is impossible to track them through the website of the Russian Post. Instead, you can use others.

So, there are sites for tracking goods specifically from China, since there are a very large number of parcels from there now. It is called Track24 and is located on the site of the same name, there are also 17track and ALITRACK. The last 3 do not request a check for a robot, but immediately look for the location of the parcel by the entered mailing number. The 17track service also shows the approximate date of arrival at the recipient's post office.

If the goods disappeared from the tracking service or hung somewhere at one point for a long time, then it is possible that they forgot to add it to the program and you will no longer be able to track its movements until a notification arrives from the mail that the parcel has been delivered. In this case, you can write to the seller, attaching a screen from the Russian Post. Postal Tracking service or any other where the problem is shown. After the delivery period has expired, the seller, with your consent, or you yourself, can extend the delivery period or return the money for obvious reasons. Money is usually returned quickly (within 3-5 days) to the card or account from which the payment was made, although not the first time. Sometimes the seller has to write several times to get the money back, or even contact the support service, because the seller does not get in touch. It also happens that the money is returned or the goods are ordered again, and the one that was lost comes.

Preparing for shipping

This means that a package consisting of one or more items is being assembled or already completed and is being prepared for shipment. The preparation process also includes paperwork and labeling of parcels. Also at this stage, the seller checks whether the payment for the purchase has been made and passed.

"Export from the country of origin"

This is the second status that the parcel acquires during transportation, unless otherwise provided by the seller or the transport company. "Export from the country of departure" literally means export from that country. This means that the parcel has a long delivery path ahead.

The time that is given for the delivery of goods to the buyer usually begins to be counted from the status "export from the country of departure". How long to wait for a parcel is often written when placing an order: some goods arrive within 30 days, and some within 90. Therefore, you should carefully read the delivery conditions when placing and subsequent payment for the order. If the parcel is sent by your friend from another country, then the wait is much less, these usually reach 10-20 days.

Arrival in destination country

When the export from the country of origin is completed, i.e. the goods have left the country of the seller and crossed the border, the status of the parcel changes. There can be 2 options here: either the goods immediately appear in the capital's sorting center, or they will be located in the border, but already Russian city, next to the border that it crossed. One way or another, it will have the status "arrived in the territory of the Russian Federation" or "imported to the country of destination" in the tracking services.

Arrival at the sorting center

Sorting centers are huge premises in a large city, into which parcels and letters fall for their further distribution and sending to smaller points or to regional post offices. When a product is exported from the country of origin, it is already determined where it will go next, to which city, sorting center and post office.

In the sorting center, parcels are processed automatically, since it is almost impossible to process a huge number of boxes and packages manually, so it is important that the index is written correctly (the address is not read here), otherwise the parcel will go to another place.

Arrival at the point of issue

When the purchased goods have passed all the stages of transportation, it goes to the post office closest to the buyer. Within a few days, postal employees write out a receipt and bring it to the recipient in the mailbox. If the addressee does not arrive within a week, a second notice is issued. A parcel that has lain unclaimed for a month is sent back.

If a person tracked the parcel through online services and saw that it was in place, he may not wait for a notification, but come to the post office with the departure number and, calling it and presenting a passport, receive a box with the purchased goods.

If he missed all the notifications and did not follow the status for a long time, then when trying to understand where the package is, he may see the status "export from the country of departure" again, but now this country will be Russia, which means that the purchase went back. Only a dialogue with the seller will help here, he can stop the return shipment or send the goods again. But not all sellers agree to this, so if you are waiting for a package from abroad, do not rely on notifications from the post office, but check the location of the goods yourself.
